July 11, 2008, Newsletter Issue #68: Should You Choose a Larger or Smaller Memory MP3 Player?

Tip of the Week

Shopping.com Tip: Before selecting the memory size you want for your MP3 player, it makes sense to take a few minutes and decide how you plan to use your player. If you will use it only when working out, and work out for around two hours at a stretch - then a less expensive 256MB MP3 player with roughly four hours worth of music will more than meet your needs.

If you are a true music addict, and want to have your MP3 player in your ear 24-7, then you will want to spring for a more expensive 20-40GB MP3 player.

Video and picture data also consume a great deal of memory, so if you plan to use your player to display either photos or video, it is best to purchase a 20 GB MP3 player at a minimum.
