Shopping.com Tip: Ogg Vorbis format is a relatively new music format that is completely open source and patent free. It takes less memory space than the MP3 format, and is reported to sound better due to the innovations in sound encoding.

MP3s can be converted to Ogg Vorbis format using many different PC-based conversion utilities, such as Jet Audio. 

You should know that you might own an MP3 audio player that doesn't support the Ogg Vorbis format.  Some of the ones that do include the iAudio series from Cowan, the MobiBlu line and the MPIO line. 

Apple iPod does not support Ogg Vorbis at this time.
