What Are Some Common MP3 Player Problems?

Shopping.com Tip: One of the most common problems encountered with a portable MP3 player is that of incompatible music formats. Before you attempt to download a file into your player, make sure that the format - identifiable by the .mp3, .wma, or xxx following the file name is supported by your player. Some players don't support WMA or Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) files. You can correct this problem by using a file conversion utility, such as Jet Audio.

If a file isn't playing well on your player, check it on your PC to make sure the software was working correctly - or that you actually downloaded the entire song. Some peer-to-peer file sharing systems have a lot of garbage available for download!

If your portable MP3 player is frozen, check the support page for troubleshooting tips. In most cases, you will need to reset your player, and either your users guide or the support FAQ available on the Web will give you instructions on how to do this.

If your player only plays for a few minutes, then requires a recharge - your problem is simple. You need a new battery.

what if the player keeps turning on then off when you power it or it just stays on the welcome page when you power it without entering the main mode for selecting songs or menu selection?
